About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead Gloucester and The Forest of Dean. As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and companionship to our clients in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide live-in care to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication management.
  • Offer companionship, conversation, and support to clients, helping them to maintain their social connections and engage in activities they enjoy.
  • Support clients to be active participants in their care, involving them in decision-making and encouraging their independence.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and assist with meal preparation, shopping, and other domestic duties.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide support with continence care.
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration, as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and make common sense decisions at short notice.
  • Willingness to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions.
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
  • Excellent time-keeper and organized individual.
