We are seeking a qualified solicitor with a strong background in criminal law to join our team at Law Staff Ltd. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in criminal law and hold Police Station Accreditation.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in handling a criminal defence caseload, with strong advocacy skills and experience representing clients in Magistrates' and Crown Court. They will also have the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and regulations.

The role will involve managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including police station advice, Magistrates' and Crown Court representation. The successful candidate will also be required to advise clients on legal rights and responsibilities, conduct advocacy in court, and liaise with counsel when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters

  • Representing clients in bail applications, pleas, sentencing, and appeals

Requirements:

  • Strong advocacy skills with experience representing clients in Magistrates' and Crown Court
