Are you a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic team? We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Technician - E&I Support at our BYK Widnes facility. As part of our shift team, you will be responsible for providing E&I support for the production department.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working on a 4 on 6 off and 4 on 4 off x 12-hour shift pattern. You will work as part of a multi-discipline team operating and maintaining our facility. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking planned maintenance and overhaul of plant equipment and site facilities
  • Reactive repair of plant equipment and site facilities
  • E&I testing, inspection, calibration, and reporting of plant condition
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience, including:

  • HNC in a related subject
  • NVQ level 3 Electrical/Instrumentation
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Desirable Skills and Attributes

We also welcome applications from candidates with desirable skills and attributes such as:

  • Competence in achieving objectives in a similar industry
  • PLC programming skills using Siemens S7 PLC
  • Motor control and inverter drive experience
  • Industrial communications: Profinet, Profibus
  • Instrumentation knowledge: Level, Flow, Pressure, Temperature, pH
  • Fault finding and planned maintenance skills
  • CMMS system experience (Avantis/SAP)
  • Excellent communication and computer literacy skills

Estimated Salary: £50,500 per annum plus benefits package.
