Job Summary

This role is part of the CSL Seqirus Finance team and will be responsible for providing financial planning to support the Commercial, Manufacturing, R&D, Medical Affairs organisations. The role will be responsible for driving efficient and effective financial planning processes across all functions within Seqirus, aligned to the CSL enterprise strategy and also driving the use of new planning tools. Additionally, the role will support in production of management reporting deliverables for all planning cycles as well as supporting insight and communication around monthly and year-to-date performance. The role holder will deputise for the Head of FP&A in presenting results to Controlling & Reporting.

The role holder will be expected to engage with Seqirus Leadership as well as Finance leadership when deputising for the Head of FP&A and presents an excellent opportunity for leadership development and growth. The role holder will be a member of the CSL Seqirus Finance Extended Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the planning process, including the accurate and timely consolidation of budgets and forecasts for Seqirus and the delivery of planning presentations to the CSL Seqirus Finance Business Partners and SQLT
  • Oversee the global roll up for the Commercial, Manufacturing, R&D, Enabling Functions, ensuring the accurate and timely consolidation of budgets and forecasts and delivery of planning presentations to the Global Finance Business Partners, including resolution of identified issues
  • Implementation of appropriate governance and templates for the planning cycles to ensure standardisation and fit for purpose outputs and to ensure all Seqirus Finance requirements are met in accordance with the global financial timetables for the planning cycles
  • Provide back up and support to the Reporting, Analysis and Data Visualisation team in the resolution of questions, issues and analysis related to the planning cycles
  • Act as the CSL Seqirus lead on global projects such as those generated from CSL Seqirus Finance and Finance Innovation, and champion ongoing process improvements that drive operating efficiencies in CSL Seqirus Operations
  • Actively participate in the FP&A Community of Practice across the CSL Group to provide support and insights, learn from colleagues and to maintain consistency of practice while delivering to internal customers' requirements
  • Lead, motivate and develop the global team including talent development. Manage performance with a focus on meeting service agreements to continuously enhance the support to Finance Business Partners, while role modelling CSL Values
  • Support in preparation and review of reporting packs for all planning cycles as well as the month end close and deputise for the Head of FP&A in presenting results to Controlling & Reporting
Requirements
  • 8+ experience in accounting, finance or similar roles including global financial reporting and analysis, BI and AI tools, cost accounting and capital experience. Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry desirable
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
