Job Summary:The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and relevant experience to deliver high-quality, specialist care to people with Parkinson's. They will work closely with Neurologists, Older People's Services Consultants, Pharmacists, General Practitioners, Therapists, Social Services, and voluntary groups to enhance the care and improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a weekday service to people with Parkinson's.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the care and improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's.
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of people with Parkinson's.
- Contribute to the development of the Parkinson's Service, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance.
- Professional registration with a relevant professional body.
- Degree-level qualification.
- Relevant post-graduate specialist course or evidence of training around treatment/support for patients with long-term conditions.
- Advanced communication/counseling courses.
- Management and/or leadership course relevant to the healthcare environment.
