About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Team Lead to join our team at Sussex Housing & Care. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist the Deputy and Home Manager in leading the care team, providing guidance and direction as needed.
  • Act as the senior person on duty at night, ensuring the smooth operation of the care team and reporting any concerns or issues to the Home Manager.
  • Set the standard for person-centred care, acting as a role model and champion for our residents' safety and dignity.
  • Provide support and guidance to night care staff, delegating tasks fairly and assisting them to complete their work in a timely manner.
  • Supervise, support, and assist in the induction and training of care staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Experience of providing support to people in a caring environment, with a good understanding of the needs of older people.
  • Minimum two years' experience in the care sector, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Experience of writing, reviewing, and recording care plans, with a good understanding of care legislation and guidance.
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or an agreement to undertake relevant training.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire confidence and enthusiasm in residents and staff, with a strong leadership and coaching style.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and the workload of other staff, with a focus on delivering high-quality care.
