Mechanical Tradesperson

We are Velocity Recruitment, a global leader in facilities management with a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team on the Aviva contract at one of our head offices in York.

This role involves carrying out planned preventative mechanically biased maintenance and reactive works, as well as responding to site engineering emergencies.

Main Accountabilities:

• Accurately record all reactive and PPM tasks using report sheets and ensure signed by the client weekly.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to promote safe working practices.
• Effectively supervise subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• Promote health and safety excellence throughout the role.

Essential Requirements:

• Mechanical qualifications from a recognised institution.
• Mechanical time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience in Plumbing, heating and ventilation.
• Excellent communication skills to deliver high levels of customer service.

Compensation Package:

• A competitive salary of £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
