As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in our growing Tax team and finance teams across the wider group, helping to deliver SSE's strategy, including its Net Zero Acceleration Programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with corporate tax compliance for the SSE Group
- Corporate tax accounting and reporting
- Advising the wider Finance Teams and business on tax-related issues
- Assisting in the implementation of tax technology solutions and process improvement to streamline and improve tax compliance
- Supporting on a range of tax advisory projects and M&A transactions
Requirements include:
- A Chartered Tax Advisor qualification or an accounting qualification (CA/ACCA)
- Extensive professional experience in a leading accounting firm and/or in-house tax department, primarily on direct taxes
- Experience of using AlphaTax or OneSource for corporate tax compliance and accounting
