Occupational Health Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Technician to join our team. As an Occupational Health Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various health assessments and screenings.

Duties:
  1. Hearing Tests: Conduct hearing tests to identify any potential hearing impairments or damage.
  2. Lung Function Tests: Perform lung function tests to assess respiratory health and detect any potential conditions such as asthma or COPD.
  3. Skin Checks: Conduct skin checks to identify any potential skin cancers or other skin conditions.
  4. HAVs (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) Assessments: Conduct HAVs assessments to identify any potential hand-arm vibration syndrome in workers exposed to vibrating tools.
  5. Vision Screening: Perform vision screening to identify any potential vision impairments or eye diseases.
  6. FLT Driver Medicals: Conduct medical assessments on FLT drivers to ensure they are fit to operate heavy vehicles safely.
  7. Drug and Alcohol Testing: Conduct drug and alcohol testing to identify any potential substance abuse issues among employees.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess excellent attention to detail. Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  3. Medical Evaluations: Perform medical evaluations on FLT drivers to ensure they meet safety standards.
  4. Substance Abuse Prevention: Conduct drug and alcohol testing to prevent workplace substance abuse.
