Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the Regional Commercial Manager in delivering and exceeding budgeted performance. You will be responsible for submitting monthly valuations, providing cost substantiation, and preparing and submitting EWN & CE's. You will also attend regular meetings with clients and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities- Manage costs and suggest journal requests as needed.
- Review monthly management accounts and key performance information to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and maintain data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing of all work carried out within the region.
- Manage the Early Warning and Compensation Event process as set out in the Contract.
- Manage client disputes and create a strong client link.
- Create In-Contract pricing, estimates, and quotations.
- Assist the Regional Commercial Manager with Aged Debt, cash collection, and escalation.
- Help prepare revenue reports to facilitate the preparation and publication of monthly management accounts.
- Education to degree level or equivalent.
- 2-3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Good understanding of the NEC form of contract.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Confident to work with IT/Digital system-led solutions to commercial management.
- Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes.
- Good communicator and team worker.
- Ability to build new and existing relationships with clients and suppliers.
