About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Aspirations Care Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to adults with mental health, learning disabilities, and autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Offer stimulation and motivation through conversation and social activity.
  • Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Book and attend healthcare appointments with our service users.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the management team.
  • Maintain accurate records by keeping care plans and risk assessments up to date.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working with mental health and challenging behaviours, specifically self-harm.
  • Knowledge or good understanding of Jamaican culture.
  • The passion to support people in their day-to-day lives, promoting their independence.
  • Patience, care, and understanding.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries.
  • Outgoing, engaging, and enthusiastic.
