Job Title: Painter / Labourer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled painter and labourer to join our team at Dexters Recruitment. As a painter and labourer, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, mixing and applying paints and finishes, and providing decorative and faux finishes as required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare surfaces for painting by washing walls, repairing holes, and removing old paint
* Mix and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
* Provide decorative and faux finishes as the project requires
* Plan and prepare work efficiently
* Prepare surrounding areas by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
* Move equipment as necessary to reach entire surfaces
* Calculate materials and time required for projects
* Remove fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
* Tape off areas as needed
* Choose and purchase paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
* Quote and negotiate job prices
* Clean up supplies and replace fixtures when projects are complete

Requirements:

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
* Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
