Job Summary:

Pertemps SSDC DDT is seeking a skilled Senior Field Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a scientific or engineering subject and be able to work independently in a field-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

Prioritise health and safety for yourself, the team, and the public while supporting Hydrometry & Telemetry network management.
Calibrate monitoring equipment, measure channel flow, maintain sites, install monitoring equipment, and input data into the hydrometric archive (WISKI).
Assist in fault finding and repair of telemetry outstation equipment to minimise disruption to Flood Warning Service or Water Management sites.
Assist with the onsite installation of new small-scale hydrometric sites, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and customer requirements.

Requirements:

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a scientific or engineering subject.
Regular travel to and from sites within a defined area. Full UK driving license required.
Awareness of Welsh culture and a positive attitude towards linguistic and cultural diversity.
