Claims Handler Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our team at Ardonagh Advisory. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for handling claims from cradle to grave, ensuring that company policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle all claims allocated to the job holder, including claims from commercial clients and dealing with a varied portfolio of motor, liability, and property-related claims.
- Refer claims that fall outside of personal authority levels to line manager.
- Gather and process information to support the effective assessment of more complex cases.
- Assist in the training of new or inexperienced staff in the use of company systems and processes.
- Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development and ongoing desk training.
- Conduct the business of the company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Act for the insured and the insurer, adhering to all group procedures and policies, and ensuring fair treatment of customers.
Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience in a similar role, preferably with commercial clients and experience of dealing with a varied portfolio of motor, liability, and property-related claims.
- General Insurance principles and practice.
- Strong work ethic and time management skills.
- Class of risk, product, and market knowledge.
- General Insurance regulation and business ethics.
- Customer care experience.
- IT proficient.
- Numeracy and Literacy.
