Job Opportunity: Health, Safety, and Environmental Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations and Compliance Director to lead our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) operations at a key FMCG supply chain site.

This role is essential for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, devising and implementing SHEQ strategies, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

About the Role:
  • Oversee site SHEQ functions, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Advise site leadership teams on all SHEQ matters, operational and strategic.
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply, and Transport teams on SHEQ-related matters, driving a standard approach to safety.

In this position, you will support the launch and implementation of corporate group project initiatives, ensuring operational sites are compliant. You will also conduct audits, incident investigations, and manage risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality policies in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop training programmes, strategies, and processes to improve Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, and Corporate responsibility performance.
  • Conduct safety meetings with relevant stakeholders across all sites.

The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, experience in high-risk industry environments, ideally complex and time-sensitive FMCG. They should also be a Grad member of IOSH, with strong communication and leadership skills.

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience, is offered.
