Chemical Industries Association (CIA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Process Safety & Health Executive to join our team. This part-time role (3 days per week) offers the flexibility of being based in Westminster or remotely.

As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will play a vital role in promoting best practices and ensuring the safety of our members across the UK chemical sector.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead CIA's Process Safety initiatives in collaboration with our Director of Safety & Security.
  • Provide direct support to CIA member companies, assisting them in developing and implementing safety protocols and sharing valuable insights on process safety best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate secretariat functions for designated UK regional networks, including the CIA's Process Safety Network.
  • Contribute to raising awareness of the chemical industry's groundbreaking achievements in safety and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with member companies and their supply chains on Responsible Care initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in CIA's Responsible Care Verification (RCV) program by conducting site visits to member companies.
  • Contribute to our wider stakeholder communications, ensuring clear and effective messaging regarding chemical sector safety practices.
Your Qualifications:
  • Proven knowledge and experience in safety & health management within a practical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with businesses and stakeholders across various levels.
  • Experience analyzing performance data, complex reports, and summarizing key findings for effective communication.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
