Job Title: Assistant Finance Business Partner

The Financial Planning and Reporting Team at CHM is seeking two Assistant Business Partners to join their team as soon as possible. These hybrid roles may require occasional travel to the company's headquarters in Sandy. The positions include a full-time, fixed-term role for 9 months and a 0.6FTE fixed-term position also for 9 months.

Job Summary:

The post holders will support the Finance Business Partners and Senior Reporting Accountant with the production of weekly and monthly financial reports and general management accounts duties. They will complete reconciliations, maintain records for budget monitoring and forecasting, and investigate variances. The successful candidates will also help maintain the finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the production of weekly and monthly financial reports and general management accounts duties.
  • Complete reconciliations and maintain records for budget monitoring and forecasting.
  • Investigate variances and help maintain the finance systems.
  • Build relationships within the finance team and resolve queries with non-finance specialists.
  • Work at pace with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • AAT level 4 qualification or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to build relationships within the finance team and resolve queries with non-finance specialists.
  • Proven experience of making recommendations to decision-makers through analysis of financial information, modelling scenarios, and paying due regard to risk and control issues.
  • Proven ability to understand business issues and identify interventions to improve business performance.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience as a management accountant or finance business partnering role.
  • Previous exposure to commercial reporting and/or charitable income reporting.
