Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment suitable for food production.
- Receiving, checking, and safely storing kitchen deliveries.
- Implement safe food handling practices and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure the dining area is well-presented and maintained.
- Practice safe systems of work across various tasks.
- Understand personal responsibilities regarding Health and Safety at Work legislation.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Encourage teamwork and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Advise and liaise with the management team on supply and quality of items used.
- Responsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies and equipment.
- Take responsibility to read, understand, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Provide meals and drinks to residents and assist with mealtime as needed.
- Ensure fridges are clean, food items are correctly stored, and labelling is accurate.
- Set up the dining room for meals, including dressing tables.
- Oversee the function and proper use of satellite kitchens.
- Change menu displays daily.
- Serve food from hot trolleys and plate up food for residents.
- Lead the dining room and organize assistance as needed.
- Provide refreshments outside of mealtimes to residents, relatives, and visitors.
- Maintain correct communication with the chef on menu changes and resident requirements.
- Collect mealtime feedback from residents.
- Ensure daily tasks are carried out in accordance with company policies and H.A.C.C.P regulations.
- Monitor and record fridge temperatures daily.
- Undertake induction and supervision on a 12-weekly basis.
- Attend mandatory training as required.
