This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop new products from concept to production, ensuring robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions.
- Lead the development of new projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive design excellence.
- Design and develop 3D CAD models, prototypes, and test fixtures to validate design integrity.
- Design and optimize mechanisms and components to meet performance and efficiency requirements.
- Produce detailed bills of materials and collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- HNC or above in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in bespoke machinery or capital equipment design, with a strong understanding of the full product lifecycle.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks, with hands-on experience in prototype development and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex mechanical systems and develop innovative solutions.
- Experience in mechanisms, pneumatics, machinery, and precision design is highly desirable.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary range of £50,000-£60,000, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that reflects the company's commitment to employee well-being and career development.
