Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Responsible Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional professional pharmacy services and supporting the development of the business.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical pharmacy services to patients
  • Supporting the Senior Pharmacist and the rest of the pharmacy team
  • Developing and implementing policies and services to improve patient care
  • Managing financial and physical resources
  • Leading and managing the pharmacy team
  • Providing information resources to patients and staff
  • Conducting research and development to improve pharmacy services
  • Providing educational services to patients and staff
  • Meeting professional responsibilities

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • Masters degree or equivalent in pharmacy
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Experience of patient counselling and audit
  • Good written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently

Working Environment

The post holder will be working in a busy hospital environment and will be required to work quickly and accurately while maintaining accuracy. The successful candidate will be able to work in a calm and professional manner under pressure.
