Section Foreman

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Foreman to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are executed safely, within programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
• Day-to-day management of site-based construction works.
• Responsible for effective coordination of resources working on the project.
• Ensure temporary and permanent works are delivered in accordance with the design.
• Careful material and plant management to meet programme and financial targets.
• Assist in planning and programming with site engineering teams.
• Participate in site discipline meetings to aid effective coordination and delivery of the works.
• Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit to Work systems are in place before work commences.
• Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments and safety plans as required.
• Effective liaison and communication with site teams and subcontractors.
• Undertake site inductions with all subcontractors.
• Deliver toolbox talks and minute briefings.
• Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and 'right first-time approach'.
• Ensure subcontractors are conforming to their own check sheets.
• Record and update site diaries.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Ability to work safely.
• Able to communicate effectively with site team and subcontractors.
• Execution of construction work in line with ITP's, quality standards, and safety documentation.
• Confident in delivering safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Able to read and interpret design drawings.
• Proven leadership capability.
• Calm, level-headed approach with strong communication able to get the most of the team and subcontractors.
• Good customer liaison skills.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience (Highways, Rail, Water, or Aviation).
• Discipline Experience (Earthworks, structures, Drainage, etc).
• SMSTS.
• Relevant CSCS card.
• Office expertise.
• TWS.
• First Aid (Preferred).
