About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Technical Support Specialist to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team, you will provide engineering support to assist in delivering expertise in general plant, system, equipment reliability, configuration management, and other specialized areas.

As an Electrical Technical Support Specialist, you will develop pragmatic fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet the organization's objectives in a cost-effective manner. Your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining the technical basis of maintenance (TBoM) process, assisting with planning for complex maintenance activities, ensuring all maintenance tasks are performed safely and on schedule, and complying with legislative, regulatory, and company procedures and standards.

In this role, you will also assist in the production of Project Management Plans (PMPs), support the E&I Team Leader in installation, modifications, and commissioning of equipment, and produce appropriate Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for maintenance or breakdown tasks.

Requirements for this position include a Degree Qualified (Electrical) or HND in an equivalent discipline, strong communication skills, ability to demonstrate conservative decision making in pressure situations, demonstrable knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements, evidence of self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience, and ability to interface with Design and Capability teams.

About the Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
