Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic volunteer to support our work with children with disabilities.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children with disabilities in our activity sessions, promoting their engagement and enjoyment.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with disabilities during sessions, including setup, delivery, and tidy-down procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribution to safeguarding and risk assessments, as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, as necessary.

Working Arrangements:

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week, flexible to adapt to changing demands.
  • Will be provided with comprehensive training and ongoing support.
  • Expected to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the service.
  • Hourly rate: £11.50 - £12.50 per hour (dependent on experience).
