Mobile Plant Operator

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at DBR Group Ltd. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of mobile plant machinery, completing daily assigned work schedules, and performing daily recorded checks and basic maintenance on the machines.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating mobile plant machinery, including loading shovels and 360 grabs
- Completing daily assigned work schedules and tasks
- Performing daily recorded checks and basic maintenance on machines
- Loading various waste streams and grades in correct bays and processing areas
- Checking incoming loads to ensure compliance with site license and permitted waste types
- Assisting in the collection and sorting of materials to maintain general housekeeping in the yard
- Previous experience working in a similar environment
- Experience and competency operating a loading shovel and willingness to train on other machines
- Mobile plant operator card or certificate of basic training is desirable
- Previous experience working in the waste industry would be advantageous
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements in an industrial/processing setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
- Ability to work proactively and problem solve
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13.00 to £14.00, with overtime paid at time and a half. Our benefits package includes:
- 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am - 5:30pm, plus alternate Saturday 7am - 12pm
