Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at NEXT. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading the sales floor, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Store Manager in the overall management of the store, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and achieving sales targets.
- Lead the sales floor, driving store results through the selling team, and maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Develop and execute short and long-term strategies to drive top-line sales, improve customer satisfaction, and increase loyalty.
- Manage competing priorities and business complexities, ensuring a memorable customer experience and delivering exceptional results.
- Lead and develop leaders and associates in various roles and levels, including managers and associates, to unlock individual potential and drive extraordinary selling results.
- Accountable for the development of associates' product knowledge, enabling high-performance selling and driving sales growth.
- Responsible for the talent life cycle of direct reports, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management, terminations, and succession planning.
- Lead direct reports to maintain merchandise presentation standards while selling, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
- Previous experience leading leaders and teams preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a pay-for-performance selling team preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive customer loyalty.
- Proven ability to effectively delegate, follow up, and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates ability to manage complex and competing priorities through time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates ability to assess talent, coach, develop, and manage performance.
- Demonstrates business acumen with strong strategic and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates excellent visual merchandising skills.
- Schedule flexibility that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-business hours.
