As a seasoned Design Manager for Buildings A&B, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of buildings designs meets expectations. Your expertise in managing a team of technical engineers will be crucial in reviewing consultants' deliverables and ensuring they meet client needs. You will work closely with the main works contractor to deliver work packages on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure systems are designed against clear requirements, including safety and HSE regulations.
- Lead a team of technical engineers to review consultants' work and ensure it meets client expectations.
- Collaborate with the project manager to manage schedule, cost, and quality.
- Provide expert advice on design guidance and review overall design packages.
- Develop and implement effective project implementation plans.
- Ensure compliance with clients' Business Management System and Technical Manual.
Requirements:
- Experience in designing and constructing industrial buildings with multifunctionality.
- Familiarity with high-hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals is beneficial.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering is mandatory.
- Chartered Architect or Engineer registration is preferred.
