Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to join our client, a well-established charity retailer, in the position of Store Manager for their Bangor shop.
About the Role: As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Bangor shop, volunteers, and customer services, ensuring the best representation of the charity on the high street. This will include the processing of donations, gift aid, stock density and rotation, retail supplies and new goods, and the use of resources such as online sales to improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise revenue using your commercial flair, ensuring the operational costs of the shop are covered and a profit contribution is generated.
- Take responsibility for the line management, motivation, and performance of staff and volunteers, being a firm but enabling leader who sparks enthusiasm and performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, customer engagement, and volunteer retention.
- Manage the shop's inventory, including stock ordering, rotation, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with charity regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous retail store management/supervisory experience, ideally within charity retailing.
- Experience of leading and line managing others to develop and grow, building and maintaining a high-performing team culture.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive sales growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
