Job Role: HSE Advisor


TLI Group is seeking a skilled HSE Advisor to join their NIE department. This role involves traveling to sites within Northern Ireland and requires prior experience in the utilities industry.



  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Track inspection and audit performance, prepare weekly safety reports, and maintain HSE records.
  • Collaborate with the training department on training requirements and maintain safety certification documents.
  • Edit, order, and distribute safety-related documents, including statistical records and HSE database entries.
  • Conduct regular site audits, communicate findings, and assist in issue closure.
  • Deliver safety briefings to crews and carry out effective site inductions.
  • Develop the Construction Stage Safety & Health plan with the construction team.
  • Review RAMS documents and prepare risk assessment sections.
  • Investigate incidents professionally and impartially.
  • Advise on personal protective equipment requirements and participate in emergency plan development.
  • Ensure sub-contractor safety documents are available on site and in accordance with best practice and current legislation.
  • Support site management in maintaining statutory inspection records.

Requirements:



  • Experience in the utilities industry, preferably with overhead power line background.
  • Proficient use of software like MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Essential qualifications: HSE Qualification, CSR/Safe Pass, LUGs, SLG, and First Aid Qualification.
  • Full driving license, ability to work with minimal supervision, and good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
