About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Completely Care, working on our Homeless Recovery Project. This role is a crucial part of our mission to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Advocacy and Healthcare Coordination: Work closely with clients and healthcare partners to ensure they receive the necessary medical attention and health services.
  • Risk Assessment and Response: Actively identify and address potential risks within the project environment, maintaining the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute positively to the team, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that encourages the best outcomes for clients.
  • Time Management and Prioritisation: Efficiently organise daily tasks to meet the needs of the project and the residents you support.
  • Safeguarding and Reporting: Promptly report any safeguarding concerns to the Team Leader or Management, ensuring the protection of vulnerable individuals.
  • Quality Support Delivery: Provide consistent, high-quality support that meets the needs of each client, tailored to their specific circumstances.
  • Welfare Monitoring: Conduct daily check-ins with clients to monitor their well-being and address any immediate concerns.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough records of interactions with clients to support their recovery journey and inform future care plans.
  • Preparation for Independent Living: Guide clients in developing essential skills such as budgeting, health and safety awareness, and productive use of time, empowering them for independent living.
  • Maintaining a Safe Environment: Assist in keeping the project space safe, clean, and conducive to recovery.
  • Support with Addiction and Mental Health: Provide assistance to clients seeking help for addiction or mental health issues, connecting them with appropriate services.
  • Building Positive Relationships: Foster trust and cooperation with clients and collaborate effectively with other organisations involved in their care.

We are looking for empathetic and proactive individuals with support experience having worked in a similar environment. If you have strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to improving the lives of those facing homelessness, and the ability to work well in a team, we want to hear from you.
