Reception Supervisor Job Description

Imperial London Hotels Limited is seeking a skilled Reception Supervisor to join our team at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front desk and ensure a high level of service quality and operating standards.
  • Support staff through conflict resolution, effective time management, and workload prioritization.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel facilities and processes.
  • Provide support and guidance to new staff members to ensure a smooth integration into the team.
  • Ensure all bookings are guaranteed and no-show charges/late cancellation charges are applied where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Reception Supervisor or Front of House supervisor in a similar operation.
  • Personable and engaging with the ability to build rapport easily, with great communication skills with both internal departments and guests alike.
  • A natural leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team to reach their full potential both personally and professionally.
  • A positive can-do attitude, calm under pressure, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft and knowledge of Reservation Systems (Opera) and 3C.
