Optometrist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care services to our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients' eyes to diagnose sight problems and prescribe corrective measures.
  • Test sight and provide advice on visual problems, including prescribing and fitting spectacles or contact lenses.
  • Diagnose and treat eye diseases, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and other conditions.
  • Inform and educate patients on eye care and provide guidance on how to maintain good eye health.
  • Liaise with other medical practitioners to share patient care and provide comprehensive eye care services.
  • Manage staff, including dispensing opticians and clerical staff, to ensure seamless delivery of eye care services.
  • Administer, organize, and plan the development of the practice to ensure high-quality eye care services.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives from vision care product suppliers to stay up-to-date on the latest products and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Hold an Optometry degree approved by the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • Be service-oriented and experienced in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Energetic and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment.
