The Role:
You will work with our Head of Internal Audit and management to implement a new risk management system that ensures all major risks are identified and analysed annually. This involves developing a risk-based audit plan, conducting internal audits, and providing independent appraisals of our policies, procedures, and standards.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a risk management framework that aligns with industry best practices.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing recommendations for improving our risk management processes and controls.
- Liaising with external auditors and ensuring effective communication between parties.
- Staying up-to-date with emerging regulations and trends in the development finance sector.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A recognised professional accounting/auditing qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in auditing at a senior level, preferably in a large international firm or organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and practices, including ISO 31000.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters of interest to internal audit.
