About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Defence Sector Sales Professional to join our team at Clarion Events. As an Account Manager for Defence Exhibitions, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the exhibition's reach and revenue.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, content, security, and operations teams to ensure successful planning and execution of all customers in your area.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • Provide post-event feedback and analysis to continuously improve future editions of these events.
  • Represent the exhibition at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote its offerings.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts to achieve financial targets as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to Clarion's Defence exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sales/Account Manager providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong understanding or interest in the Defence sector and the challenges within this industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels.
  • Proven track record of utilizing sales strategies and techniques to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience managing contracts, negotiations, and agreements with clients' needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Able to problem-solve and negotiate.
