The Role: Work Placement Officer

We are partnering with a prominent Further Education College Group seeking a highly motivated and experienced Work Placement Officer to join their team. This role plays a vital part in shaping the future of young people by facilitating meaningful work experience opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Source and secure diverse work placements for full-time learners across various disciplines.
  • Collaborate with employers, staff, and students to ensure placement relevance and a student-centered approach.
  • Provide comprehensive support to students, guiding them through the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of their placements.
  • Develop and enhance student employability skills through tailored guidance and workshops.
  • Work closely with the college's business support team and visit different sites within the group to provide on-site assistance.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Proven track record of securing successful work placements for students.
  • Experience engaging with external agencies to identify vacancies and match suitable candidates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with young people.
