Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of water and waste-water projects, ranging from smaller capital maintenance works to large civil new build schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate cost analysis and programme evaluation
  • Assess compensation events and variations
  • Engage with risk management processes for schedule and cost
  • Implement Earned Value Management techniques
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, striving to exceed client expectations

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled and working towards Full Membership of either RICS or CICES
  • Strong understanding or experience in business systems, cost analysis, and project evaluation
  • Appreciation of risk management, sustainability, and health & safety principles
  • High level of integrity and commitment to doing things the right way
