Senior Accountant

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and growing chartered accountancy firm in the South East. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in handling a broad range of responsibilities, including statutory accounts preparation, management accounts, taxation, and bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities:- Statutory Accounts Preparation: Compiling and preparing statutory accounts for a diverse client base.
- Management Accounts: Assisting in the production of management accounts.
- Taxation: Managing personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns.
- Bookkeeping: Performing general bookkeeping duties using software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
- Mentoring: Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.
- Qualifications: Studying towards or holding ACCA/ACA qualification, or qualified by experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a UK accountancy practice, with substantial experience in preparing accounts, tax returns, and managing responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
- Competitive salary: £40,000 - £46,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, negotiable.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Flexible start-finish times.
