Metrology Engineer

Established Engineering Workshop near Deeside seeks a skilled Metrology Engineer to oversee the implementation of metrology processes and procedures, ensuring accurate measurement and calibration of equipment.

• Develop and maintain metrology processes to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems.
• Conduct inspections and measurements using Leica laser trackers with various attachments, including scanners, t-probes, and b-probes.
• Analyze measurement data and generate reports to communicate results and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve metrology-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, strong knowledge of metrology principles and techniques, and proficiency in using metrology software and tools, such as Spatial Analyzer.

• Proficiency in using Spatial Analyzer and other metrology software.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
