We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Asset Engineer to join our team at Egis Road Operation Uk Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management maintenance and renewal strategies for our highway bridge structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement asset management maintenance and renewal strategies for all structure categories, including bridges and large culverts, small span structures, retaining walls, sign/signal gantries, and masts.
- Develop value-led, technical decision-making processes and procedures to support long-term asset management.
- Utilize the Asset Management System, including RMMS and Decision Support Tools, to identify structural renewal and maintenance interventions.
- Support the delivery and undertake as required bridge inspections.
- Assist with structures condition reporting.
- Identify efficient renewal scheme interventions and assist with the development of the Annual Asset Management Plan, 5-year Rolling Asset Management Plan, and 30-year Rolling Asset Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and contract service schedules in relation to bridge structures.
- Support the programme of work on Substandard Structures, including piers and parapets.
- Liaise with the CPS on-roads team to ensure consistency in maintenance regimes.
- Attend callouts for the management of emergency incidents involving specified assets.
- Assist in collating information for effective performance measurement and controls.
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Working towards Professional Qualification, MICE, MIAM, MIStructE, or similar.
- Knowledge and experience of highway bridge asset management and an understanding of bridge inspection and maintenance activities.
- Awareness of RWSC, DMRB, and SHW.
- Understanding of Asset Management Systems.
- Understanding of working within the Strategic Road Network, with National Highways.
- Experience in Windows server operating systems.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Current UK driving license.
Base Location can be one of the following depots: South Mimms, Leatherhead, or Dartford.
