Job Overview:

The Role - HGV Technician:
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. Key responsibilities include conducting regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections. The successful candidate will also be responsible for examining heavy vehicles for structural issues or damages, using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues, and fixing or replacing malfunctioning parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold City & Guilds/apprenticeship or other related qualification, have proven experience as a HGV Mechanic, and possess strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment is also essential. A Class 1 / 2 driving license is beneficial but not required.
