DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock LLP. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing, supporting, and continuously improving our secure, performant, and reusable platform-layer components.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a robust and user-friendly Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that streamlines software development and deployment processes.
- Reduce or eliminate manual or repetitive tasks, improving end-to-end platform health and performance and general developer productivity.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the development teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Implement policies to manage platform components securely, in conjunction with the infrastructure team.
- Stay up-to-date with modern DevOps practices, tools, techniques, and industry practices.
- As needed, facilitate the resolution of findings from periodic penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying issues.
- Strong experience working in Microsoft Azure within a DevOps organization.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Good knowledge of Azure DevOps to build and improve CI/CD pipelines for product teams.
- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code in Terraform (or equivalent).
- Experience of writing YAML pipelines is an advantage.
- Proven experience with web and data workloads ideally from a development background.
- Good all-round software development and release engineering skills.
- Proficient in planning and organization, capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality and business priorities.
