Construction Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Technician to join our team at South Hampshire College Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers in the delivery of courses within the carpentry department, ensuring the preparation, maintenance, and monitoring of learning materials, tools, equipment, and spaces.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a workshop environment, a methodical approach, accuracy, and self-motivation. They will also have an understanding of carpentry and machinery shop machines, as well as a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Carpentry.
Key responsibilities will include ensuring the safe use of materials, tools, equipment, and spaces by all students and staff, taking responsibility for ensuring that Health & Safety is central to the operation of the curriculum area, and working across the carpentry department as directed by the Curriculum Area Manager or Curriculum Director.
