Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Marine Fabrication Specialist to join our team at DK Recruitment. This role involves working on various marine projects, including ships and submarines, within a workshop setting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize various welding techniques, including FCAW, MMA, MIG, and TIG, to complete fabrication tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with welding standards through regular requalification.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions accurately.
  • Operate general workshop tools and machinery specific to welding processes.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in the marine engineering sector, particularly with naval vessels or large commercial ships.
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to read technical drawings.
  • A time-served apprenticeship in marine or naval engineering.
  • A Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance and undergo a DBS check.

Work Environment:

This position offers a standard 35-hour workweek with opportunities for overtime. We provide a competitive compensation package.
