Job Description

More Recruitment Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced Transport Planner/Transport Debriefer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of transport services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Briefing and Debriefing: Prepare run sheets for day or night shifts and pre-brief drivers on their tasks, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Monitoring and Compliance: Verify that vehicles and trailers are road legal, drivers have the necessary PPE and paperwork, and ensure drivers are using the provided Tom-Toms and that their runs are correctly assigned.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution: Close communication with drivers, the transport manager, and other departments to resolve issues promptly and maintain high standards of service.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Report any sickness, no-shows, or unusual activities to the transport manager and ensure customers are informed of any delivery risks.
  • Breakdown Management: Quickly deal with breakdowns and ensure the compliance department and transport manager are aware.
  • Yard Checks and Maintenance: Complete daily yard checks and address any issues, ensuring vehicles and trailers are in good working condition.
  • Customer Service: Answer all emails and calls promptly, ensuring the transport mobile phone is always accessible and providing a clear and informative handover at the end of each shift.
  • Debriefing and Documentation: Ensure drivers are debriefed correctly, download Tacho Cards, and upload hard copy PODs.
