About the Role

This Senior Account Manager role involves taking on key responsibilities, driving growth, and managing account team members while supporting the business and client base.

The successful candidate will develop strategic thinking, refine their skills in healthcare communications, and take ownership and accountability for all accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple campaigns across various channels, overseeing day-to-day implementation and ensuring timely completion.
  • Lead client meetings and calls, negotiating with clients as needed, and collaborating with the senior team to develop objectives and strategies.
  • Take responsibility for the financial status of accounts, overseeing client billing, and ensuring profitability.
  • Contribute to quarterly staffing projections with the senior team and provide strategic input to documents, including pitches, proposals, and presentations.
  • Review and shape written materials, generating content for different platforms (medical, media, client, social, etc.).
  • Line manage and motivate team members, providing feedback, conducting regular appraisals, and setting performance objectives.
You Will Bring:
  • Previous experience in account handling from a healthcare advertising /PR/MedComms agency.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory bodies, including ABPI, PAGB codes, MHRA, and international standards.
  • An understanding of the NHS/international health systems and broader health environment.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project, and time management skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Editing and quality control skills.
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
