Workplace Arrangement:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our Hartlepool site. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out organoleptic testing on production samples, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and supporting the production department as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out organoleptic testing on production samples
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
  • Supporting the production department as required
  • Adhering to the EMP swabbing and water sampling schedule
  • Identifying any out-of-specification micro results and following the correct process of managing the process
  • Ensuring daily red pen checks within the production departments
  • Reviewing CoA certificates, filing, and updating SAP
  • Managing retain samples and liaising with external distribution centers
  • Supporting allergen and species testing in line with the schedule
  • Supporting the writing and updating of SOP documents

Requirements:

  • Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills
  • Fluency in English language
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyze key process data
  • Highly self-motivated with strong self-discipline and a structured approach to practices and improvements
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 would be a bonus but not a necessity
  • Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in relation to organoleptic testing would also be a benefit
