Midwife Opportunity at Newcastle Private Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our team at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a midwife, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women and their families throughout the pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality postpartum care to women and their newborns
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized patient-centered care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Extensive experience in postpartum care and women's health
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty
