Royalty Income Management Lead

This position at BMG, the world's fourth-largest music company, is responsible for leading income receipts for the UK and sub-publishing territories. The successful candidate will oversee royalty collections across various business functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of royalty statements and core royalty functions in a music environment. Previous experience in royalty accounting and distribution is essential. Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and advanced Excel skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Royalty Income team to ensure efficient royalty collection.
- Process royalty statements from multiple sources accurately and within deadlines.
- Liaise with Finance teams to facilitate invoicing activities.
- Identify revenue discrepancies and track/chase missing payments.
- Maintain relationships with distributors, sub-publishers, and other income sources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of royalty statements and core royalty functions.
- Previous experience in royalty accounting and distribution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Familiarity with tracking and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
