About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding, and installation work on mechanical and electrical building services and associated equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You will be working as part of an integrated maintenance team, using a wide range of tools and equipment to diagnose and repair faults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults using fault finding procedures and equipment manufacturers' manuals
  • Operate and repair steam boiler plant and associated steam services
  • Undertake water treatment tests
  • Repair and install electrical equipment and installations in line with current regulations
  • Operate, inspect, and repair compressed air plant and installations, pumping, and extract systems
  • Work on drainage systems
  • Weld using gas or electric
  • Install copper, plastic, or steel pipes using appropriate jointing techniques
  • Calibrate and commission equipment to standard operating procedures

Requirements
  • BTEC, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship in Maintenance, Electrical, or similar field
