NHS Aseptic Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist to join our clients' Pharmacy team at an NHS Hospital in Birmingham. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly rate, with the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense aseptic products
  • Ensure compliance with NHS protocols and aseptic procedures
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide optimal pharmaceutical care
  • Provide expert advice and support on aseptic techniques and related issues
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures
  • Undertake quality assurance activities to ensure patient safety
Requirements
  • Aseptic experience is essential
  • Experience in NHS pharmacy services is preferred
  • Must be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and related pharmacy regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Committed to patient care and safety

  • Location: NHS Hospital, Birmingham
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a 30-minute break)
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Pay Rate: £27 - £37 per hour (Band 7/8a)
