About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Care Services team at VSA. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in coordinating and contributing to the provision of quality services to meet the needs of our service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Service Coordination: Oversee the maintenance of accurate recording systems and reports to meet agreed standards, ensuring compliance with administrative, regulatory, and management purposes.
  • Staff Supervision: Conduct assessments of staff performance, provide feedback and support, and contribute to the identification of training and development needs.
  • Service Delivery: Take the lead in planning, monitoring, and reviewing service delivery plans to meet individual needs and preferences, within budgetary and funding constraints.
  • Communication: Promote and utilize effective communication with individual staff members and service users, progressing issues arising from the communication process where appropriate.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the provision of a safe and protective environment, complying with health, safety, and security procedures, and reporting accidents/incidents when necessary.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: SCQF Level 6 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent, with the ability and willingness to complete SCQF Level 7 in Social Services & Healthcare + 15 academic credits in Supervision and/or Management at SCQF Level 7.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the care sector, coordinating activities in a workplace, record-keeping, problem-solving, and using initiative.
  • Skills: Developed communication skills, organizational skills, accuracy, basic IT skills, and the ability to prioritize work tasks.
